Krisi is the Babe Ruth of wives. (She's the best there's ever been.) We met at 15 as Sophomores in High School. Dated for 4 years, got engaged and were married at 20 after our second year at Harding. We went to Williamsburg, Virginia on our Honeymoon which is still one of my favorite places on the planet; definately in the top 3 (depending on the street). There is no one else. Being around her makes me a better dude. God teaches me things through her love. She has been the consistent supportive force in my life. In victory, she held me up while I undertook an extended weight control program and she is one of the only reasons I did well. In agony, she helped me walk through the grief of losing Dad. "Sickness and health, good times and bad." She lives it, man.
She is smart. We both graduated from the same high school on the same day. I was "ranked" 17th in the class and she was numero uno. That's right, I married the Valedictorian. She graduated from Harding in 3 years and finished her Master's at UCA having never made anything less than an "A" in any class, ever. She remains academically flawless. Her diligent pursuit of excellence is wildly impressive. She is always at least 3 steps ahead of her husband. Were she to learn Chess, she would dominate so much that they'd have to change the name of the game to something like"Krisi's Dominion". If I was a Don, she would be my first choice as Consiglieri. She is socially and politically conservative which drives her father absolutely batty but I find it very, very attractive. She is loving and kind and she fights for folks who can't fight for themselves. As her vocation, she helps people who have had some pretty horrific accidents to regain their lives. Everything this woman does, gives life. Beautiful.
We took a cruise for our 5th Anniversary and here are some pictures of us. I still can't believe she said "yes".
Look at those eyes. God is faithful.

SO sweet. You know, she's blessed to have you too.
Well done my friend. You got yourself a great wife!
Alan this is the first time that I have looked at your blog. Nathan told me that you had written about Krisi, so I had to read it. I definitely had tears in my eyes! I know it had to do the same to Krisi. I admire your willingness to speak so freely about your love for her.
Good to hear from you, Jennifer C.
Thank you Deborah.
You too Sam.
Jennifer Bland, you should come back more often. This is the most exciting destination on the world wide web.
Alan - You did well my friend. I love it when a man is unashamed to talk about his wife. You hit a homerun my friend. "The Babe Ruth" of wifes... classic line.
Alan, so so sweet! I loved reading that! Krisi is a lucky girl!
Do I need to call Krisi and ask her to look up your blog? :) I know this is no surprise to her. You are very sweet and thoughtful. I am thankful to God for you guys. Alan, it is hilarious to me that you use so many phrases that remind me of your Dad--"dude" and "man." It makes me think of him. :)
