Had to post something and move the spider off the top perch. If you still want to see her, scroll down a little but don't say you weren't warned...
Sam Peters has an interesting question over at his place if you glance to your immediate right and click on the "Samwise" link. (I am not sure why I didn't link to his site directly in the body of this post but it is what it is and yes I realize that it has taken me longer to write this aside instead of just linking directly.)
I'm teaching our class on Sunday morning and I've got to be honest with you; I'm a little freaked out. I know pretty much what I'm going to say but it's a little terrifying getting up in front of your peers and it ain't exactly a small class. We're in the midst of our pursuit through the Fruits of the Spirit and I got Kindness and Goodness. Any suggestions from the wise audience?
Anyway, I hope everyone has a pleasant evening.

You??? Kindness and goodness??? Heh heh heh...
SOOOO KIDDING (don't hate me!)
What do you have to be freaked out about, Mr. "I've never felt inadequate to anything. I've got it all together..." Yeah, you'll probably have that "naked" dream Saturday night!
Seriously, I'm sure you'll come up with something that will be both captivating and inspiring! (Sorry, I don't have any suggestions, I'll leave that up to the 'wise' portion of your audience on this blog.) Better yet, spend some time in prayer; God will give you something inspiring--that's the only suggestion I've got--and perhaps I'll remember to lift your name up to Him before your class Sunday morning.
How big is your class, anyway? Just curious...hope you have a pleasant evening as well. Much love!
I think we're sitting somewhere around 80-100...
We don't have our own minister yet like some people.....ha!
Hey, thanks for the shout out. I hope you were okay with me posting about it w/o consulting first, but I thought that you brought out an interesting talking point.
As far as the class goes, I've always thought that peace is one of the most difficult fruits to practice. I think that you could really come at it from a different angle that is frequently overlooked. We tend to look at the peace in that particular scripture as an inner peace like the "peace that passes all understanding" that Paul talks about elsewhere. However, recently I have begun to wonder if that verse is actually referring to peace as in our interactions with others. It is referred to as a "fruit" which makes me believe that it is a visible way that we interact with people. Are we being people that are seeking peace with others? Hearkening back to the words of Jesus, "Blessed are the peacemakers." Anyway, just a thought. Good luck!
I'll bet it was terrific!
So how was your class this morning???
Alan! Click here!
Alan, You did a really good job w/class on Sunday. I meant to tell you after class, but I had to hurry downstairs to do something. I like your sense of humor too.
Thanks for your willingness to teach. You are kind & good, BTW. Andee
