Bio

The next 2 posts will be biographical in nature. This one is about me and my personality and the next one will be about my beautiful wife. This one may bore you and that might be an accurate reflection of my personality but the next one will be wildly interesting and inwardly and outwardly gorgeous. So, be ready...

I've taken the Meyers-Briggs thing about a dozen times and it has always, always, always produced the exact same findings. Apparently I have a custom made personality for an accountant....lucky me. Here's a nice clean chart to explain.

Notice the almost complete lack of feeling/emotion. I promise I have a heart and I'm a quasi-emotional dude. Can anyone shed some light on what this means?

ISTJ baby! That's just how I do it...

Congrats on being the exact opposite of me (except for the introverted part). I'm sorry, but I don't think we can be friends anymore. I just can't get along with you STJ types. You're much too logical. Forget logic! And that other thing I never use, what's it called, oh yeah, reason. Who needs that? You just gotta FEEL it, baby! :)

Okay, now that's just so weird it's almost creepy! I took that same test just Wednesday evening before church...it appears you and I have alot in common, brother...

I=74%
S=89%
T=58%
J=100% (I think this one may be a little extreme for me...)

So, Alan, you claim to be an emotional dude, huh? I think that I'm pretty emotional too, although these results would never show it. In fact, I think that I'm the strangest combination of extremely emotional but choosing to keep them to myself. It's not that I'm not emotional, I would just prefer to act upon thought and logic rather than my feelings.

Persnality custom-made for an accountant huh? Yeah, I noticed that the results had "accountant" on the list of occupations! Speaking of, I should get off here and head to work soon.

So much for long weekends...

Let's hear it for month-end!!!

Personality custom-made, that is. Sorry, if I had taken the time to proofread this morning, I might have been late for work!

I'm with Mitch... we're exact opposites. We'd probably be great friends though. I'm attracted to exact opposites for some reason. My wife and 95% of my close friends have the same personality traits as you.

I'm not sure what that means other than I guess if I met myself I probably wouldn't like me.

Hm?

I'm an INTP, and I'm pretty extreme in every category. Apparently I'm suited to be a professor or a philosopher. That hard J is probably what makes you a good accountant. I'm not so good with firm schedules and deadlines. I like to be spontaneous. Do you happen to know what Jared's personality type is?

Alan,
You seem very interesting.
Great post.
I am looking forward to reading more of your blog in the future.
God bless.

I'm an INFJ. All of mine a very borderline except for the N. I'm almost 100% Intuitive.

Mitch and Trey, Don't be so hard on yourselves just because you aren't as good as me. (kidding)

Lacey, way to represent!

Baird, good to hear from you again. Jared is INFJ, which explains where much of our "sibling rivalry" came from; or in his case "sibling I wish I could be as cool as Alan-lry"

Preacherman, thanks for reading. I'll try to keep it lively.

Sam, I now know both of the INFJ's on the planet. Apparently, you guys are rare. Don't worry, this means you are valuable.

I greatly enjoyed this test. In case you care how they evaluated my responses:

ENTJ, what they termed "The Chief."

Leader and Innovator, who lives in the world of possibilities.

Skills- Knack for debate, goal oriented, efficient, competitive, strategic, and task focused.

Only 3% of the population is made up of these people.

Now to find some ISTJ's to help me get the job done.
